A couple notes from the February Camp Moon Hwa meeting:
The overnight experience will be Wednesday night to Thursday morning. This information will be in future notifications, too. But, people like to be able to plan evenings, we wanted to let you know as early as possible.
We are planning to keep the week before July 4th as our camp week every year now.
Pictures! We are trying out Google photos for pictures. Check out the page for Camp Moon Hwa 2016. You can add your own pictures if you have any you’d like to share.
Again, we’re planning on Camp meetings for the 3rd Monday of each month. You’re welcome to show up.
Required training for classroom assistants and overnight chaperones will be on Thursday, June 23, at 7:00 PM. There will also be a “make-up training session” on Saturday, June 25th at 11:00 AM. This is for all of the classroom assistants who are 18 & under and for all of the overnight chaperones.
Four days from now we will be enjoying the first day of Camp Moon Hwa 2016!! Whoo-hoo!
Here’s hoping that everyone celebrating Christmas had a merry one. We also hope that every has a happy New Year as well.
Just a reminder that Camp Moon Hwa ends on Friday, July 1st this year–the Friday of the July 4th weekend. Those who can’t easily get vacation days around holidays and want to attend the Friday afternoon Camp Moon Hwa program may want to consider this as vacation calendars are passed around the office.
Camp Moon Hwa and the Rochester Korean Center had their display poster up at the World Festival in Rochester, Minnesota on April 11, 2015. People showed interest in the camp and the language classes. Mrs. Han and her wonderful crew prepared delicious food. Learning to use chop sticks was very popular and many walked away carrying bookmarks with their names printed in Korean.
The display poster was created by Stephanie and Chris shared the photo.
