We received word from CHLSS that they have a couple tours of Korea scheduled for 2018. Both of them overlap with Camp Moon Hwa, though.
Here’s some information:
We offer personalized post adoption services, cultural expertise and caring support to help Korean adoptees learn more about their Korean origins, culture and people important to their birth and adoption stories. Regardless of a family’s U.S. or Korean adoption agency, we provide a unique, comprehensive birthland tour with post adoption services backed by years of experience.
In 2018, we will offer the same tour at two different times June 12-25, 2018 andJune 26-July 9, 2018.
Mrs. Catherine Park and her husband Peter have an exhibit at the Owatonna Arts Center. Mrs. Park teaches brush painting at Camp Moon Hwa and is a big supporter of the Rochester Korean Center. Please visit www.oacarts.org/now-showing/ for more details.

Camp is all set up. The Food Crew hit the road this morning to buy plenty of food supplies for the week ahead. All we need now are campers to fill chairs.
There’s a bit of a change for the mornings this year. Each child will have a home room and that is where he or she will go first in the morning. Then the class leader will bring the kids to the gym for opening ceremonies. Parents who want to be there for the opening ceremonies will go directly to the gym while the kids are in homeroom.
We’re planning a little more for the opening ceremonies this year. We hope it adds to each camper’s experience.
If anyone saw today’s (Monday, May 15) front page of the Rochester Post Bulletin, you might recognize Miles from Camp Moon Hwa. Don’t worry; it’s good news. He’s being congratulated by Med City FC soccer player.
Here is the Post Bulletin’s gallery from the match: http://www.postbulletin.com/sports/localsports/photos-med-city-fc-lc-aris-fc-soccer/collection_371c35a2-3845-11e7-b6fc-1fb34b446a49.html
It leaves us wondering if, maybe, Camp Moon Hwa should sell their own soccer scarves. It seems worth considering.
A couple notes from the February Camp Moon Hwa meeting:
The overnight experience will be Wednesday night to Thursday morning. This information will be in future notifications, too. But, people like to be able to plan evenings, we wanted to let you know as early as possible.
We are planning to keep the week before July 4th as our camp week every year now.
Pictures! We are trying out Google photos for pictures. Check out the page for Camp Moon Hwa 2016. You can add your own pictures if you have any you’d like to share.
Again, we’re planning on Camp meetings for the 3rd Monday of each month. You’re welcome to show up.
